Jeffrey Acosta provides some remarks during an unveiling and dedication of a Virginia Historical Marker honoring Filipino Sailors in the U.S. Navy on May 28, 2022. The event occurred at the Philippine Cultural Center of Virginia in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Acosta previously served as the curator of the MacArthur Memorial in Norfolk, Virginia from 1987 to 1999. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Filipino American National Historical Society and retired from the United States Marine Corps Reserve at the rank of Colonel.
