    USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76)

220509-N-BR419-1164 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 9, 2022) Chief Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Gary Allen, left, from Waco, Texas, and Master Chief Damage Controlman Paul Green, from Granite Falls, Washington, inspect the ship’s sprinkler system in the hangar bay of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), during a test of the ship’s Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) system. AFFF is often used in shipboard and shore facility fire suppression systems, fire fighting vehicles, and at fire training facilities. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
