Saad, a 90-year-old father of eight, stands in front of a water well rehabilitated with USAID funding in September 2021 in the Jabal Habashy District of the Ta’izz Governorate in Yemen. The well serves more than 550 individuals who previously lacked access to clean water, providing a basic necessity right in their community. The rehabilitation work included construction of a water tank, installation of a solar-powered water pump, and placement of galvanized iron water pipelines.
