Midwives like Jamila are a critical link between communities in Yemen – particularly in remote areas – and health facilities, providing much-needed health care to mothers, newborns, and children under 5. She is one of more than 200 community midwives trained by USAID’s Systems, Health and Resiliency Project to provide high-quality care to families.
