Kennedy (CVN 79) has his commanding officer patched placed on his uniform by his daughter Susannah Day during the ship’s first change of command ceremony in the ship’s fo’c’sle where Capt. Colin Day relieved Capt. Todd R. Marzano. John F. Kennedy is the second Ford-class aircraft carrier and is under construction at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division in Newport News, Virginia.
