220414-N-NK931-067 PACIFIC OCEAN (April. 14, 2022) – An MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the “Wildcards” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23 releases cargo onto the flight deck of Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Montgomery (LCS 8) during a vertical replenishment (VERTREP) in the Eastern Pacific. LCS is a fast, agile, mission-focused platform designed to operate in near-shore environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats.
