Cody Myers, medical laboratory technician, 1st Area Medical Laboratory (AML), and native of Grayling, Mich., takes a sample of water purified by soldiers during a training exercise at Fort Bragg to ensure it is safe to drink. The 1st AML, a unit designed as a deployable laboratory with the capability of detecting and identifying environmental contaminations that could harm service members on the battlefield, is stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.
