    Captains Skyler Kamaka and Devon Ferguson, 203rd Air Refueling Squadron KC-135 pilots, fly their first training sortie together Feb. 10, 2022, near Oahu, Hawaii. After years of training, the two friends became their squadron’s newest aircraft commanders, empowering them to become fully autonomous pilot crew. The responsibility of an aircraft commander is earned through demonstrating operational mastery within their airframe, ensuring that the crew can rely on their leadership and technical expertise for mission success.
