A U.S. Marine assigned to the Marine Wing Support Squadron 172 in Okinawa, Japan, retracts grounding cables during a tactical hot refueling operation at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Dec. 15, 2021. A hot fueling, designed to increase lethality and readiness, is defined as refueling of the helicopter with the main engine running.
