PORT OF DJIBOUTI, Djibouti (Dec. 3, 2021) – U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Trinton Heron, from Preddy, Texas, left, and Lance Cpl. Zach Crawford from Wichita, Kan., both assigned to Light Armored Reconnaissance 1st Bn. of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, embarked upon the amphibious transport dock ship USS Portland (LPD 27), clean and maintain rifles in the vehicle stowage area while the ship makes a sustainment and logistics visit to the Port of Djibouti supported by Camp Lemonnier’s supply department. Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti serves as an expeditionary base for U.S. military forces providing support to ships, aircraft and personnel that ensure security throughout Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia.
