Navy Medicine's Force Master Chief Michael Roberts, pets Athena Walker, an adoptee of a medical response team member who is assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command, Portsmouth, Virginia, during his COVID response operation visit at a local hotel in Wenatchee, Washington, Nov. 21, 2021. Athena Walker was adopted at the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society by U.S. Navy Ens. Traci Walker. Sailors assigned to the hospital are deployed from Florida, Illinois and Virginia, in support of the continued Department of Defense COVID response operations to help communities in need. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-of-government COVID response.
