U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Bruce L. Gillingham, center, Navy Surgeon General, thanks the medical response team, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command, Florida, Illinois and Virginia, for their agility and flexibility during the COVID response operations in Wenatchee, Washington, Nov. 21, 2021. Gillingham spoke about medical power and how the team provided it by completing the site’s operation. Sailors assigned to the hospital are deployed from Florida, Illinois and Virginia, in support of the continued Department of Defense COVID response operations to help communities in need. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-of-government COVID response.
