Defense Department Support to FEMA COVID-19

U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Bruce L. Gillingham, left, Navy Surgeon General, and Navy Medicine's Force Master Chief Michael Roberts, right, presents Ens. Traci Walker, center, assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command, Portsmouth, Virginia, a challenge coin for her hard work at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington, Nov. 21, 2021. Walker has integrated herself into the hospital and volunteered her personal time at the local animal shelter during the response operation. Sailors assigned to the hospital are deployed from Portsmouth, Virginia, in support of the continued Department of Defense COVID response operations to help communities in need. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-of-government COVID response.
