A column of U.S. Navy enlisted personnel in Service Khaki uniforms march in formation through what appears to be a ceremonial hall or auditorium. The lead sailor displays multiple ribbons, badges, and a warfare device on his uniform, suggesting a formal military ceremony such as a Chief Petty Officer pinning or advancement ceremony. The setting features red carpeting and warm ambient lighting consistent with an indoor military event venue.

YOKOSUKA, JAPAN (Nov. 19, 2021) Chief petty officers march in formation during a chief petty officer pinning ceremony hosted at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka’s (CFAY) Fleet Theater. Sixteen Sailors from CFAY and tenant commands were promoted to the rank of chief petty officer during the ceremony. CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
