YOKOSUKA, JAPAN (Nov. 19, 2021) A combination cover bearing the insignia of a chief petty officer waits to be donned by a Sailor assigned to Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY). Sixteen Sailors from CFAY and tenant commands were promoted to the rank of chief petty officer during the ceremony. CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
