Dereck Wansing, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, engineering technician and local government liaison currently deployed to Louisiana in support of Hurricane Ida recovery efforts, looks at storm damages in Grand Isle, Louisiana, Oct. 9. Wansing was in the area to review blue roof installations on the barrier island. The deadline to apply for the free service is Oct. 15.
