U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Dan Macy, a Marine Corps instructor of water survival and company commander of Headquarters and Services Company, 3d Landing Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3d Marine Logistics Group, aids Marines participating in a 200 meter swim event during the Lander Trials on Camp Foster, Oct. 4, 2021. 3d LSB conducts the Lander Trials, a series of physically demanding workouts and group activities in order to test the battalion’s combat readiness and to promote camaraderie. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
