U.S. Marines with 3d Landing Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3d Marine Logistics Group, participate in a 25 meter swim assessment during the Lander Trials on Camp Foster, Oct. 4, 2021. 3d LSB conducts the Lander Trials, a series of physically demanding workouts and group activities in order to test the battalion’s combat readiness and to promote camaraderie. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
