Polish soldiers gather together following a women’s cultural exchange event facilitated by 1st Infantry Division (1ID) Forward in Poznan, Poland, Sept. 14, 2021. The event consisted of a question and answer discussion panel led by 1ID Foward’s chaplain, Maj. Aprill Bright. Polish and 1ID soldiers learned about each others’ experiences in the military and participated in the time honored tradition of exchanging unit patches. Members of 1ID are deployed to Poland in support of Atlantic Resolve, a rotational forward presence throughout Europe that strengthens interoperability and improves communication among allies and partners.
