Air Force Col. Philip Morrison from the Mobility Force section highlights key information from the common operating picture to the Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Gen. David W. Allvin, as part of the vice chief’s tour of a site near Dulles International Airport in Herndon, Virginia, Sept. 8, 2021. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghans at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
