The Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Gen. David W. Allvin, discusses with Air Force Brig. Gen. Mark Weber the capabilities of the Director of Mobility Forces Operations Center to track and project air travel for Afghans during his tour of a site near Dulles International Airport in Herndon, Virginia, Sept. 8, 2021. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghans at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
