The U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Palau, Ambassador John Hennessey-Niland, speaks to members of the U.S. armed forces and citizens of the Republic of Palau during the 20th 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony held in the Palau Community College in Koror, Republic of Palau, Sept. 10, 2021. During the ceremony, Hennessey-Niland said “the people of Palau stood with us that day and continue to stand with us today. We have always been there for each other, and we are here tonight.” Task Force Koa Moana 21 is present on Palau to reaffirm the U.S.’s commitment to the Compact of Free Association and to the people of Palau.
