    PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug.17, 2021) Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class Michael Moore, from Oak Harbor, Wash., assigned to the Wildcards of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23, chocks and chains an MH-60S Sea Hawk on the flight deck aboard the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Jackson (LCS 6). The Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is a fast, agile, mission-focused platform designed to operate in near-shore environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats.
