LANGLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Va. (Aug. 4, 2021) Joint Task Force Civil Support (JTF-CS) Commanding General Army Maj. Gen. Jeff Van drives a command and control vehicle into a C-17 Globemaster III en route to Tennessee during exercise Vibrant Response 21.2. The exercise enables JTF-CS to strengthen unique capabilities, including an ability to deploy on short notice into austere environments, which are not readily available in other federal agencies or in the private sector, allowing them to position the right people and resources for life-saving and life-sustaining actions during all-hazards defense support of civil authorities operations.
