    Col. Matthew Woodruff (right), 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team commander, receives the unit distinguishing flag from Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Burress, 37th IBCT command sergeant major, during a change of command ceremony June 25, 2021, at Fort Polk, La. Woodruff was succeeded by Col. Michael Flaherty during the ceremony, held near the end of a monthlong training rotation for the 37th IBCT at Fort Polk’s Joint Readiness Training Center, which trains BCTs to conduct large-scale combat operations on the battlefield.
