The South Carolina National Guard hosted representatives from the Colombian army, air force, and navy during a visit through the State Partnership Program, Aug. 12-15, 2019. This visit focused on learning about the South Carolina National Guard's air defense mission with the 263rd Army Air and Missile Defense Command in Anderson, South Carolina, as well as the 169th Fighter Wing out of McEntire Joint National Guard Base. The State Partnership Program between the South Carolina National Guard and the Republic of Colombia began in 2012 and focuses on sharing ideas and practices between the partner nations.
