A military helicopter, consistent with an MH-60 Seahawk, is hovering low over open ocean while personnel conduct what appears to be a combat search and rescue (CSAR) or helicopter rope suspension technique (HRST) operation. At least one person is descending from the aircraft on a line or in free drop toward the water, while crew members are visible in the open cabin door. The rotor wash is creating significant spray and mist across the water surface.

PHILIPPINE SEA (July 5, 2021) Personnel from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 21 (HSC 21) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobil Unit 5 (EODMU 5), both embarked on the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Tulsa (LCS 16), conduct a training exercise in recovering waterborne personnel and equipment while underway, July 5. Tulsa, part of Destroyer Squadron Seven, is on a rotational deployment, operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
