PHILIPPINE SEA (June 7, 2021) Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Earl Walker, right, from St. Louis, and Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Prince Boakye, from Atlanta, participate in a small craft action team (SCAT) drill aboard the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). The SCAT team is a quick reaction defense force intended to repel small craft. America, lead ship of the America Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
