Lance Cpl. Eddie Melendez, an air frames mechanic with Marine Transport Squadron 1 performs maintenance on one of the squadron's HH-46E helicopters Sept. 13 during scheduled phase maintenance repairs. Continuous Process Improvement experts from the Comptroller's Business Performance Team and VMR-1 Marines created a standardized process that will allow the unit to continuously improve performance while maintaining its aircraft.
