U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Francis Donovan, the commanding general of 2d Marine Division, is briefed on the conduct of Exercise Skrenvil aboard amphibious helicopter carrier Dixmude, May 31, 2021. Exercise Skrenvil is a bilateral amphibious event in France with 2d Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, designed to bolster collaboration with allied nations and to maintain global security in key maritime terrain. While abroad, Donovan also engaged with key leaders in the French Armed Forces to strengthen relationships in order to refine interoperability for future cooperation. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
