JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 9, 2021) - Linda Kaiser, a nurse at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s Family Medicine Clinic, takes notes to relay patient information to a provider. Kaiser, a native of Kansas, Missouri, says, “My job includes a variety of things for our patients, including renewing medications, ordering labs, and making referrals. It’s very important to ensure everyone is on the same track.” Nurses Week (May 6 – 12) is celebrated in commemoration of the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
