210407-M-JX780-1684 BAY OF BENGAL (April 7, 2021) – An Australian Royal Navy MH-60 Sea Hawk and an Indian Navy P-8I fly over Indian Navy Shivalik-class frigate INS Satpura (F48), left, and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force ship, JS Akebono (DD 108), while the ships maneuver in formation through the Bay of Bengal during La Perouse 2021. The amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset is part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group with embarked 15th MEU operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility. La Perouse is an exercise during the annual French Navy midshipman deployment called Mission Jeanne d'Arc.
