210407-M-JX780-1628 BAY OF BENGAL (April 7, 2021) – A U.S. Marine Corps AH-1Z Viper, front, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 164 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and an Australian Royal Navy MH-60 Sea Hawk fly in formation during La Perouse 2021. The amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) is part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group with embarked 15th MEU operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility. La Perouse is an exercise during the annual French Navy midshipman deployment called Mission Jeanne d'Arc.
