Soldiers from the 877th Engineer Company, out of Augusta, Ga., help decontaminate each other after running through a scenario where they evacuated civilians acting as casualties from an explosion, Aug. 30, at Fort Bragg, N.C. The soldiers were participating in North Carolina's Vigilant Guard, a training exercise to ensure civilian and military first responders are prepared in the case of a natural or man-made disaster. Vigilant Guard allowed the first responders to practice the skills that may be needed to respond in a disaster situation.
