Civilian mariner Pete Jimenez prepares a static voltage regulator for installation in the engine room of the hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) Aug. 28, 2012, while under way in the Pacific Ocean. Mercy was en route to its home port of San Diego after completing a four-and-a-half-month mission in support of Pacific Partnership 2012. Pacific Partnership is an annual deployment of forces designed to strengthen maritime and humanitarian partnerships during disaster relief operations, while providing humanitarian, medical, dental and engineering assistance to nations of the Pacific.
