A U.S. Air Force aircraft, identifiable as a KC-135 Stratotanker, is being marshaled on a wet tarmac by a ground crew member wearing a high-visibility yellow vest and holding an orange marshaling wand. The scene appears to take place at a military airfield under overcast, foggy conditions. The aircraft's landing lights are illuminated, suggesting active taxiing operations.

A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft assigned to the 100th Air Refueling Wing taxis in to start the first-ever “hot-pit refuel” of a KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft in all of U.S. Air Forces in Europe command at Royal Air Force Mildenhall, Jan. 8 2021. “Hot-pit refueling,” is another name for an engine-running refuel while the aircraft is grounded which will minimize the amount of maintenance and time-consuming inspections.
