Angel Montes of the California Army National Guard’s 224th Sustainment Brigade and Regional Medical Strike Team (RMST) 17 hauls a vital signs monitor and equipment to the Red Zone, a COVID-19 ward, of the Westview Healthcare Center in Auburn, California, Jan. 8, 2021. Under Joint Task Force 201, Cal Guard has activated multiple RMSTs to assists California’s healthcare workers relentlessly battle the coronavirus outbreak that has taken thousands of lives in the past few months.
