NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (Nov. 18, 2020) Personnel Specialist 3rd Class Sean Haug (right) uses his baton after getting oleoresin capsicum (OC) sprayed to block strikes from Personnel Specialist 3rd Class Malik Simons during a security training course for Sailors assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) at Huntington Hall. George Washington is undergoing refueling complex overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipbuilding. RCOH is a multi-year project performed only once during a carrier’s 50-year service life that includes refueling the ship’s two nuclear reactors, as well as significant repairs, upgrades, and modernization.
