“The confined disposal facility we’re using behind me is the Toledo Port Authority’s. In each cell there’s space for 10,000,000 cubic yards of material, which should last for 13 or 14 years. The Buffalo District owns another CDF here, but we have no need to use it right now. Our facility is used for material that doesn’t meet Clean Water Act requirements and all of our material from the shipping channel in Toledo meets CWA requirements.” - USACE Buffalo construction representative Mark Schwab
