A fuel hose sits on a taxiway before the hot-refuel of two U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft at Al Udeid AB, Qatar, Dec. 2, 2020. The two F-16s, assigned to the 480th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, and deployed to Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates, received fuel with engines still running. Airmen assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Group and the 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron are trained and certified to quickly hot-refuel multiple airframes which allows rapid redeployment and continued operations.
