A team of Special Tactics Airmen located and treated two simulated injured aircrew members that ejected from their aircraft during a combat search and rescue exercise at Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji, Japan, during Keen Sword on Oct. 29, 2020. Barrels were used to simulate cutting into a light aircraft to search for survivors. Keen Sword is a joint, bilateral, biennial field-training exercise involving U.S. military and Japan Self-Defense Force personnel, designed to increase combat readiness and interoperability of the Japan-U.S. alliance.
