Cpl. Joey Acala, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, performs a functions check on a M249 Squad Automatic Weapon while competing in the Raider Brigade Noncommissioned Officer/Soldier of the Quarter competition, September 17, 2020, at Fort Stewart, Georgia. On the first day of the competition, teams consisting of an NCO and a junior enlisted Soldier had to traverse the Marne Mile obstacle and answer questions based on the Division’s and Brigade’s history after each obstacle.
