CJTF-OIR oversees the execution of the U.S. Counter-ISIS Train and Equip Fund (CTEF) in Iraq and Syria

More than $180 million in armored vehicles, Toyota Hilux pickups, medical supplies, mortar tubes, ammunition, mine detectors, engineering vehicles, and Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment, divested through the Counter-ISIS Train and Equip Fund at Camp Taji, Iraq, May-July 2020. Totals included 644 wheeled vehicles, 14.5 million rounds of ammunition, and nearly 10,000 weapons. These items were delivered to the Joint Operations Command Iraq, Counter Terrorism Service, and Qwat al Khasah (Iraqi special forces) to be used in their fight to defeat Daesh remnants in Iraq and provide a stable and secure future for Iraqi citizens.

As the military arm of the Global Coalition to defeat Daesh in Iraq and Syria, CJTF-OIR oversees the execution of the U.S. Counter-ISIS Train and Equip Fund (CTEF) in these nations. CTEF is a U.S. Congressionally appropriated, enemy-focused, geographically-bound funding stream to enable our partner forces to defeat Daesh in Iraq and Syria. From 2014 to 2020, the CJTF-OIR CTEF program divested or obligated more than $5 billion to its partner security forces.
