Fort Hunter Liggett provided an installation tour to Congressman Salud Carbajal after the community relations meeting with him and Congressman Jimmy Panetta, military and civilian leaders in the Monterey area, August 19, 2020. Panetta was called away to address the raging fires in the surrounding areas and was unable to partake in the tour. Soldiers from the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) provided him with an overview of the vehicle before taking him to the new JLTV course at FHL. As a veteran, he was able to appreciate the enhanced protection the JLTV provides in comparison with the Humvee which the Army is going to phase out in the next couple of years.
