Fort Hunter Liggett hosted an in-person and virtual community relations meeting with Congressmen Jimmy Panetta and Salud Carbajal, the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, Army Reserve Ambassadors, and military leaders in the Monterey County, August 19, 2020. California Army National Guard and 40th Infantry Division Commander Major General Laura Yeager discussing health care, increase of the Basic Housing Allowance, need for funding and equipment. She also reported how Soldier morale is high and they were very proud to provide support to local communicates during civil disturbances in Sacramento and Los Angeles. Seated next to her is the 40th Infantry Division Deputy Commanding General and Camp Roberts Senior Commander Brigadier General Michael Leeney who highlighted the aging infrastructure at Camp Roberts and need of additional military construction projects. He also discussed how FHL and CR complements each other to offer expanded training capabilities to customers.
