Familial frocking formalities bridging 70 years...Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Alison Wermager assigned to Navy Medicine and Readiness Training Command Bremerton's Laboratory department returns the salute after receiving her new Navy petty officer crows from her great uncle, Les Peterson, a Korean War veteran, July 28, 2020. Wermager was one of 14 Sailors authorized at the command to assume the title and wear the uniform of the next highest petty officer pay grade, effective immediately.
