Bill Holman, son of former Lock 2 Lockmaster Red Holman, talks about his childhood growing up on the Lock 2 Reservation when his dad supervised operations at Lock and Dam 2 on the Cumberland River. Holman joined other officials at the Lock 2 Park Historical Marker dedication June 24, 2020. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District operated the old navigation lock from 1907 to 1956. Remnants of the lock’s land wall, a lockmaster’s home (in background), and other out buildings remain at Lock 2 Park. (USACE Photo by Leon Roberts)
