A U.S. Navy Special Boat team crewman introduces the Combatant Craft Medium boat to Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt, U.S. Ambassador to the Helenic Republic, Gen. Kostantinos Floros, Chief of Hellenic National Defense General Staff, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, Minister of National Defense of Greece, and other distinguished guests during a visit to the Naval Special Warfare Special Boat team deployed near Naval Support Activity Souda Bay, Greece, on June 12, 2020. Special operators from Naval Special Warfare are training in the local area of NSA Souda Bay. These units can rehearse joint air and maritime operations and capabilities at the invitation and coordination of the host nation and U.S. governments. Through this type of training, SOF members remain postured to execute global response operations and support multiple NATO allies and partners in the Black Sea and Balkans region during the global COVID-19 crisis.
