Missouri National Guard Sgt. Maj. Scott Mayer, of Lee’s Summit, addresses the soldiers and sailors of Task Force Tropic during a final formation where commanders coins and certificates were presented by Mayer and Lt. Col. Robert Jones, task force commander, in Naco, Honduras, June 29. Task Force Tropic was established in Honduras for U.S. Army South’s Beyond the Horizon-Honduras exercise, which combines military skills training with humanitarian aid missions.
