MIDLAND, Texas – (March 27, 2020) Aviation Maintenance Administrationman 2nd Class Elias Grey, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, a recruiter assigned to Navy Recruiting Station Midland, prospects for potential future Sailors at his home during the COVID-19 Pandemic. As of March 26, all recruiting stations within U.S. Navy Recruiting Command have shifted to virtual prospecting with the public to limit in-person contact. Recruiters remain accessible to persons interested in a career in America’s Navy with primarily communication through phone calls, direct messages or video chat. During his off-duty time, Elias with the assistance of his wife, Mariah, produces 3D-printed face shields for donation to local hospitals. Elias, a 2009 graduate of Bonners Ferry High School, joined America’s Navy in 2011 becoming a recruiter in 2017. Navy Recruiting District (NRD) San Antonio’s area of responsibility includes more than 34 Navy Recruiting Stations and Navy Officer Recruiting Stations spread throughout 144,000 square miles of Central and South Texas territory.
